Volunteer

We could be just what you are looking for!

We can provide YOU with an opportunity to gain work experience and training in our showroom and workshop, with the chance to meet new people and improve your job prospects.

What skills do you need?

Training is provided, it’s more about your attitude than outright skills. You need to like working as part of a team, and, ideally, interested in bikes and supporting Rebike’s aims. Finally, you need to be reliable and trustworthy. It helps if you’re slightly mechanically minded, but this is nowhere near essential.

Why volunteer with us?

You get a sense of doing good, plus discounts on our bikes and components. If you’re looking to get into the bike business, this could be a great place to start.

If you’re looking to build your CV, voluntary work is a great way to boost your experience, and show you’re keen and willing.

Some of our volunteers are retired – they volunteer because they still have a lot to contribute, and working with Rebike is a great way to stay connected. So there’s something for everyone.

Volunteering

Training & Qualifications:

We work on the basis of progressive learning with our mechanics. So everyone starts of on cleaning and dismantling, then you get to work on prepping and servicing. Up to this stage, it’s all on-the-job learning, with informal instruction with help from other volunteers/mechanics. Once people have been in the workshop for a good few months, and if they show aptitude (and are willing), we can help them improve their skills in cycle maintenance while they work.
